SpoolinOps
The ultimate AI assistant engineered for BMW, Toyota, Nissan, and Infiniti enthusiasts who demand precision, performance, and power. Built specifically for analyzing MHD, BOOTMOD3, JB4, EcuTek, and COBB WOT pulls and maximizing your machine's potential on the track and street.
What is SpoolinOps?
SpoolinOps is a specialized AI assistant engineered for BMW, Toyota, Nissan, and Infiniti performance analysis. SpoolinOps features Spoolin — an AI model with extensive knowledge in MHD, BOOTMOD3, JB4, EcuTek, and COBB tuning systems — purpose-built to analyze WOT datalogs and surface the insights that matter to serious enthusiasts.
Whether you're preparing for track day, dialing in a fresh tune, or troubleshooting performance issues, SpoolinOps delivers precision insights that matter to serious enthusiasts.
Features
SpoolinOps has two primary interfaces: the Chat for interactive AI-powered log analysis, and the Performance Dashboard for visual trend tracking across sessions.
Upload a CSV datalog and Spoolin returns a structured report covering boost, timing, AFR, IAT, load, fueling, and torque — with flags for anything outside expected ranges for your platform and tune level.
Quick Mode delivers a report in under 30 seconds — best for routine checks. Deep Mode Premium uses enhanced reasoning for a more thorough review, surfacing parameter interactions and subtle trends.
Keep the conversation going after the initial analysis. Ask Spoolin to explain data points, dig into a specific RPM range, or help prep questions for your tuner. Context from your log carries through the session.
Ask Spoolin to generate charts inline — boost vs. RPM, timing by cylinder, AFR across the pull, and more. Built directly from your uploaded log data.
Compare a new log against a previous one to see exactly what changed between sessions:
- Upload your new log
- Click Compare on a past log in the left sidebar
- Click Submit
- Select the default prompt or type your own — optionally enable Use my saved mods
Save your vehicle's modification list in the My Mods sidebar. When "Use my saved mods" is checked, Spoolin includes your profile in every analysis automatically.
Contextual prompts surface after uploading a log to help you get started quickly without knowing exactly what to ask.
Accessible from the Dashboard link in the navigation bar. Automatically populated from your uploaded log history — no prompting required.
Four summary cards give an immediate snapshot: Logs Analyzed, Best Performing Log, Most Improved Metric, and Overall Trend across all metrics combined.
Highlights your single top-performing session with its peak values — boost, timing, AFR, load, and torque. The benchmark to beat on your next pull.
Interactive chart plotting any metric across your logs over time. Filter by metric, gear, aggregation method (P90, max, average, delta), tune revision, fuel type, or date range. Boost, Timing, Torque, and AFR use the peak load zone (top 25% of load samples) for genuine on-boost values.
Pick any two logs as Base and Compare, and the panel surfaces grouped differences in plain language — boost increase, timing improvement, AFR shift toward target. The fastest way to see what a tune change actually moved.
All loaded logs ranked best to worst by composite performance score. Peak and P90 values shown per metric side-by-side. Click any column header to re-sort.
Dashboard Tip: Use descriptive filenames that include tune version and fuel type (e.g., b58_stage2_e40_v1.3.csv). The Tune and Fuel filters read directly from the filename. See Tips for Best Results for more guidance.
How It Works
To use SpoolinOps, your vehicle must be a BMW, Toyota, Nissan, or Infiniti (see supported engines) tuned with MHD, BOOTMOD3, JB4, EcuTek, or COBB. You will need to perform a WOT datalog in your tuning software to gather the necessary data for analysis.
Analysis Process:
Step 1: Select your vehicle make and engine from the dropdown menu, and choose your tuning platform (MHD, BOOTMOD3, JB4, EcuTek, or COBB)
Step 2: Upload your CSV export using the Upload button in the left sidebar
Step 3: Provide your vehicle modifications in one of two ways: either type them directly in the chat, or use the My Mods section for long-term storage. If you type the mods in the chat, Spoolin will automatically start analyzing the log after you send the message. If you use My Mods, ensure the "Use my saved mods" checkbox is selected and then choose a suggested prompt or send a message (e.g., "Start the analysis of my uploaded log") to trigger Spoolin to begin the log analysis.
Step 4: Once the analysis begins, Spoolin generates a detailed, actionable report tailored to your uploaded log. Premium users can engage in follow-up conversations to explore deeper insights and discuss results. Spoolin is specifically focused on datalog analysis and does not provide guidance outside of this scope. For a fresh start, simply click the New Chat button.
Tips for Best Results
Getting the most out of Spoolin comes down to context and specificity. The more Spoolin knows about your setup, the sharper and more actionable the analysis will be.
Before or during your first message, describe your vehicle's current state. This is the single most impactful thing you can do to improve analysis quality.
Pro Tip: Use the My Mods section in the left sidebar to save your modification profile permanently. When "Use my saved mods" is checked, Spoolin automatically incorporates your saved mods into every analysis — no need to re-type them each session.
Both modes are available on every log upload. Choose based on your goal:
Best for a fast safety check or routine review. Delivers a structured report in under 30 seconds, covering the most important flags — boost, timing, AFR, IAT, and load.
Enhanced reasoning for a more thorough, contextual review. Factors in parameter interactions, compares against platform-expected ranges, and surfaces subtler patterns like gradual timing pull trends or mid-RPM boost inconsistency.
After the initial analysis, continue the conversation to dig deeper. Prompts are most effective when they reference the data directly:
- "Can you walk me through what's happening to boost between 4,000 and 5,500 RPM? It looks like it's falling off."
- "The timing in cylinders 3 and 5 was lower than the others — is that normal or is that a concern?"
- "My AFR looks a bit lean in the mid-range. Could that be an injector duty cycle issue or a fueling table problem?"
- "How does this log compare to what you'd expect from a typical Stage 2 tune on the B58?"
- "I'm seeing IAT creep after 5,000 RPM on back-to-back pulls. What's the most likely cause given my setup?"
- "Based on this log, what's the single highest-priority thing I should bring up with my tuner?"
- "Can you generate a boost vs. RPM graph for this log?"
What Spoolin will not do: Spoolin stays focused on datalog analysis and does not give general tuning advice, ECU map editing guidance, or troubleshoot issues unrelated to an uploaded log. For a clean slate on a new log, click New Chat before uploading.
Compare two logs to track changes between tune revisions or hardware updates:
- Upload your new log
- Click Compare on a past log in the left sidebar
- Click Submit
- Select the default suggested prompt or type your own — optionally enable Use my saved mods
Works best when both logs were taken under similar conditions (same gear, similar ambient temps). Example prompts:
- "My tuner adjusted the boost target by 2 psi between these logs — what changed in the data?"
- "The car feels different since the last session. What does the comparison show?"
While not required, descriptive CSV filenames help Spoolin and the Dashboard surface better context automatically. Include the tune version, fuel type, and date:
b58_stage2_e40_v1.3_2026-04-01.csv
The Dashboard can then filter and compare logs by tune revision or fuel type using the text in the filename.
WOT Pull Guide
Wide Open Throttle (WOT) pulls are critical for gathering accurate performance data. Here's how to perform them correctly for optimal analysis results.
WOT Pull Procedure:
- Perform a single (e.g., 3rd gear) or multi-gear (e.g., 2nd to 4th gear) WOT pull
- Ensure redline is reached in each gear during the pull
- Log all 20 critical parameters (see detailed list below for each tuning platform)
- Export the datalog as a CSV file from MHD, BOOTMOD3, or JB4
Safety Guidelines:
- Safe environment: Use a closed course, track, or safe road with no traffic
- Engine temperature: Ensure engine is at proper operating temperature
- Fuel quality: Use high-octane fuel (91+ octane or ethanol blends recommended)
- Vehicle condition: Ensure all fluids are fresh and vehicle is in good condition
Best Practices for Quality Data:
- Consistent conditions: Log under similar weather and temperature conditions for accurate comparisons
- Multiple sessions: Take several logs across different days to identify patterns and trends
- Document changes: Keep detailed records of any modifications or tune adjustments between logs
- Single gear pulls: Single gear WOT pulls provide more comprehensive data than multi-gear
- Environmental factors: Consistent temperature and humidity yield better comparisons
- Log complete runs: Include data during both acceleration and deceleration phases
- Full throttle only: Avoid partial throttle during logging sessions
